About the Exhibition
“Walking from Yan’an —— Art Exhibition to Commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the Publishing of Comrade Mao Zedong’s ‘Talks at the Yan'an Forum on Art and Literature’" is hosted by Ministry of Culture, organized by National Art Museum of China, mainly exhibits the holding works of National Art Museum of China, collects more than 500 fine works of art & masterpieces and more than 200 historical relics & literature, arranges and reproduces the development of Chinese fine arts in last 70 years since the publishing TALKS, represents the creation practices and fine arts achievement of several generations of artists since Yan’an times under the spiritual guidance of TALKS: keeping to the orientation of serving the people and socialism and the principle of letting a hundred flowers blossom and a hundred schools of thought contend. Those creation practices and fine arts achievement are created to extol the people of all ethnic groups of the country fighting for national independence, building new China, heading for reform and open, promoting the scientific development, exploring the road of building socialism with Chinese characteristics and rejuvenating the culture of China. Meanwhile, the exhibit is also designed to represent the impact of TALKS to the fine arts development of China and the significance & values of TALKS to the artistic creation of contemporary fine arts. The whole exhibition consists of a introductory chapter, “Yan’an Times”, and four other branch-chapters, “From Life”, “Image of People” and “Love to See and Hear All Flowers Bloom Together”, with a distinctive theme, a fresh structure and a rich content.
