Art Reflections
¡¡¡¡Painting does not replicate the world we see. Painting is in another world.  Time, space and colour - these are all that there is about my paintings. The mystery of painting lies in representing invisible time and space with visible colours through the process of painting. For me there are only two kinds of difference between colours: one is transparent while the other is not. What sets photography apart from painting is its process. Unfortunately it is impossible for the spectator to be present throughout the entire process of painting. When faced with a painting, we are used to ¡®read¡¯ with the means characteristic of a narrative or thought, which makes it impossible for our view to confront the painting with complete neutrality. Only through a  ¡®tactile viewing¡¯ can we really experience the colour, texture and spatiality of a painting, as well as its breathing. The best state of an artist is his uncertainty in creating a particular piece. Once he is full of confidence, he starts to repeat himself.
