Art Reflections
¡¡¡¡My previous works were usually step-by-step practices based on existing concepts. I am still engaged in physical expressions but now I am more restrained about the a priori approach of concepts and also indulging in fantasies created in the encounter between object and the human body. Sometimes I marvel at the human body, flagrant interventions of water, air and matter. I am attracted to the exoticness of instant and chaotic shifts in water, a bit like the uncertain expectations while mixing different substances in a chemical lab. Here the body and its environment are personalised, local, intuitive, sensual and without any particular significance, which is fundamentally different from the context of body and material in my previous works. As a certain intuitive experience is privileged, when I search for the possibility of surprises in a picture I tend to imagine that everything is animate, even the drifting dust and chaotic specks.
